Flemish Minister-President Geert Bourgeois is in India with a 100+ delegation representing 55 Flemish companies.  The focus of the mission is on clean-tech, smart cities and high-tech.

The delegation is visiting Pune, Mumbai and Bangalore from 24 to 29 April 2016.

Since the focus of the mission is on Indian smart cities, DMH directors Rajiv Dhawan and Ignace Hindrick attended the seminars in Mumbai on 26.04.16.

They had high level contacts with the Flemish Government Associations, the Flemish Minister-President and the Belgian Ambassador to India.  Ignace and Rajiv also had valuable interactions with several important Flemish companies active in clean-tech.

Flanders has smart solutions for Smart Cities in India.  The region of Flanders is offering world-class technologies in the field of:

1.      Clean energy (wind and waves)

2.      Innovative water treatment

3.      Energy efficiency for smart cities and buildings

4.      Resource efficiency (do more with less)
